Just one hour's flight or a day's drive from Brisbane, Charleville offers an outback welcome that's closer than you think, yet feels a world away.
A Once in a Generation Aviation Story
The Return of the Boomerang
Proudly sponsored by Viva Energy Australia
After a 45-year restoration, VH-MHB — the only Australian-designed and built fighter aircraft ever to enter production — returns to public display for the first time in almost 50 years. Its return to Charleville also honours Flying Officer Anthony Kingsmill Brook, the only WWII service member buried in Charleville Cemetery, bringing this aircraft home to the town it once served.
